One of the most important coins of the growing British Empire was the Gold sovereign made in 1856 at the Sydney mint. It is a beautiful coin. This coin is certified Proof 62 Cameo. It is exceptionally nice and a real work of art. It is the first Victorian design made for Australia and was only made 3 years. The fact that the design was only made 3 years qualifies it as a major rarity. However to make it even more special, this is the ONLY coin in existence outside of museums of this type. It is the greatest category of mega rarities. It is an extremely important key coin for the Golden Art collection. This compares to US coins worth many millions.
